Greetings everyone! Its been a while since I last updated my journal and I have lots to tell. With Summer quickly winding up we move on to another hopeful season full of many surprises.

Due to some disconcerting circumstances I have decided to
opt-out of the deviation download on some of my artwork. While I myself never really thought that my art would be good enough for anyone to want to steal it. It has nevertheless come true.
The first step to preventing art theft of course is to protect yourself and
deviantART provides means in which to take that first step. Also I have tracked down the person-in-question already and in fact know who it is. For those of you from
aeRO(see my aeRO Group box
down below) you may recall the individual who went by
Lucifer on the
#aeroPUB channel. Well, he is the culprit who has already admitted himself to my fiancee(~
Artemysia)and myself that he was pretending to be me and use some of my pictures in order to get some credit on various websites. We had both told him that this was not acceptable, but received no cooperation from him at that time. To date he has toned down his actions involving my art and I believe he knows I am on to him. I am only passively pursuing this incident, but keeping up with his whereabouts as best as I can. If you are so inclined to check on him he has been known to frequent the sites listed below:
Things to look out for: My name is Michael where as his name is Manuel; I currently live in the United States where as he lives in Venezuela; I do not use any other art website aside from deviantART currently and would make it public info here on my front page. The nickname karusuman is fairly common, I suppose. Its was derived from a Castlevania character named Karasuman that I decided to change back in the early 90's. It's certainly not copyrighted by me. That's all I have on the matter, thanks for the intrest.

Franci(~
Artemysia)came to visit me for the last two months and we had lots of fun traveling the country. We went from New York all the way out to Los Angeles and have many stories and memories to tell. We took many photos and had a great time together and I hope to return once again to Italy for this Christmas holiday.

Some particulars we saw were: downtown Manhattan; Washington D.C.; Baltimore; Richmond; Atlanta(again); Minneapolis, Denver; Rapid City; Mt. Rushmore; Albuquerque; Flagstaff; Barstow; Santa Ana; Los Angeles; Hollywood to name a few. It was the first time either of us has been out west and I must say that I really enjoyed the trip. The only downside to it was that I was working most of the time she was here, but next year promises a roadtrip vacation with her famiglia coming along.

In Barstow there was a Anime Store inside a mall that had a few action figures and books that we both really wanted such as Roxas and Axel Play Arts figures, Death Note toys and notebooks. Its a shame we spent all of our money on other things! Goes to show that you should always plan ahead for these things!

On the way back home we took our time and tried to enjoy the remaining days until she had to return home. We were both pretty bummed out about it, but had no control over the situation. Luckily for us though, the planes were overbooked for several days and we got a small consolation prize of a couple more days together! We're were both sad to say our goodbyes once again, but its only a matter of days before our next get together.

On the other side of things, I got to see my brother after many years. He works as a Network Administrator for TBN(Trinity Broadcasting Network) and we got to see some behind-the-scenes areas of one of the studios. I try to get some of those posted as soon as I can along with others.

Well, its back to work again for me. I'm trying to do my best to get that air plane ticket to go see her so I may not be around much for the next few weeks. As always, take care and live a little!

Omake

After seeing the Final Fantasy Tactics A2 promos from the official site I am desperately wanting to get a Nintendo DS and the game. Oh well, maybe once I get those damn bills paid off....

We got to see The Dark Knight, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Hancock in the theatres. We wanted to catch Kung Fu Panda but they stopped showing it even at the Matinee. Saw a couple of Vincent Price movies, which are classics, and a few episodes of Samurai Seven. I got hung up over Gorobei dying and refused to watch the rest.(Ha?!) I highly suggest you see these movies if you haven't already done so. Also, really anxious to see the Avengers movie hinted at.

I luckily was given the Death Note comeplete set from a fellow truck driver. I loved it so much I also went out and got Death Note Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Serial Murder Cases. Great stuff, but Franci took them back home with her! I need to find a new set somewhere....
Me: I'm only getting back 70 dollars this year from my income tax. I think I'm going to hang myself!
Travis: You can't afford a rope. - random conversation

When in RomeDo what the Romans do? Well, if you try to do that you'll stick out like a sore thumb. My experience is:
just be yourself. Italians are very friendly and for the most part willing to help you if you get lost, assuming that speak some English(or whichever mother-language you prefer). Don't try to hard to blend in because it just makes you look even more embarrassing. It'll come in time.
